Protests Against CM Siddaramaiah in Mangaluru

During a visit to the South Canara district on Friday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah faced attempts to be surrounded by numerous activists from the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) in Mangaluru.

The police reported that the incident occurred near Yeyyadi on the outskirts of Mangaluru, where demonstrators were chanting slogans against the Chief Minister while wearing black armbands. Prior to this, a large gathering of BJYM workers accused the Congress government of neglecting development in the region and deliberately labeling the common people of South Canara and Udupi as communal.

As Siddaramaiah's convoy arrived in the area, protesters attempted to block his path. However, security forces quickly intervened, detaining the demonstrators and clearing the way for the Chief Minister.
